Most calls start the same way. A stain on a ceiling, a piece of tile on the driveway after a monsoon storm, or a roof that is simply old enough to be worth worrying about. What happens next depends on what your roof is made of, and in the Valley that is usually tile, shingle or foam.
That is why the work below is split the way it is. A tile roof and a flat foam roof fail in different places and are put right in different ways, so each one gets its own page with its own answers on it.
All five begin with the free inspection. Somebody walks the whole roof, photographs every slope, then goes through the pictures with you before anyone talks about work or cost. If the answer is that nothing needs doing yet, that is the answer you get.

You should not have to work it out from the ground
A leak is a diagnosis job before it is a materials job. Water travels once it is inside, so the mark on the ceiling is often nowhere near the place it got in, and a small repair looks exactly like a full replacement from underneath.
Storm damage here is wind damage. A microburst lifts and shifts tile and works at the flashing without carrying anything away, so the roof looks untouched from the driveway and shows itself during the next storm.
